Trump Cancels Republican National Convention

On July 23, Trump canceled the in-person portions of the Republican National Convention in August in Jacksonville, FL, citing the Coronavirus pandemic in Florida.

But at the same time, Trump insisted that students should go back to school in August and September — everywhere from Jacksonville, and Miami FL, to rural Wyoming and Michigan, to Phoenix, AZ.

We have seen Coronavirus outbreaks in summer camps this year — which feature groups of children together. Groups of children in camps are very similar to groups of children together in schools.

Trump has also insisted that he should be allowed to vote by mail — something he has done in previous elections — but that no one else should be allowed to vote by mail.

Trump clearly believes that he should be able to enjoy a very different standard — a much lower one — than ordinary citizens.
