One of the things that concerns me most is that the mainstream media (MSM) spends lots of airtime, terabytes and ink telling us how old President Biden is. But the MSM has been largely silent about the Trump money laundromat.
We understand the MSM is targeting the 15-second attention spans and essentially nonexistent critical thinking skills of most Americans.
Back to the fixation of the MSM: Biden is 81. This is not news. We know he is 81. We know he is not as sharp a thinker or speaker as he used to be. His age or his diminished mental capabilities are not news anymore.
All that being true, you know what could be news?
Trump’s criminal history, specifically the Trump money laundromat, and actual INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING into it.
If broadcast media had done such reporting, or if broadcast media had reported on the reporting done by print outlets in 2015-2016, it could have prevented America from electing a then-unindicted criminal to the presidency.
You may remember that in 2015-2016, the MSM broadcast his hour-long rallies from beginning to end, capturing 100% of his crazy talk. In fact, Trump received $3 billion of free TV exposure from all broadcast media outlets; that is what all that free airtime would have cost if the Trump Campaign had to buy the commercial time.
I am convinced it promoted and broadcast him right into the White House.
Why?
The MSM, with the wisdom and critical thinking skills of a lump of dog shit, thought, “No one will take him seriously. He’s funny to watch. He couldn’t win.”
In Nov. 2016 Trump won to his great surprise and the great surprise of millions of voters.
And you know what? In a slightly different way, the MSM is turning the current campaign cycle into a repeat of the same mistake: broadcasting endless stories about the wrong topic.
MSM Doesn’t Learn
If the MSM did actual INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING — instead of just doing the cheap and easy “Trump said this” and “Biden said this” and “Biden is old” stories over and over again, the American people might be persuaded NOT to vote for the twice-impeached, 34-count convicted felon.
Much of the investigative reporting that has been published, from 2015 to 2024, concerns the Trump money laundromat, for a variety of criminal figures from many countries.
The MSM could do new reporting or it could report on or update the findings of these and other organizations’ stories focusing on Trump and The Trump Organization’s money laundering activities from credible sources such as the United States government Financial Crimes Enforcement Network [FinCEN], a bureau of the United States Department of the Treasury, Forbes, ProPublica and The Washington Post.
Since the MSM (New York Times, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN and even MSNBC) has not done reporting on Trump’s money laundering activities, investigations and fines paid for those activities, I provide links to the following stories, many of which concern Russian people working with Trump. One More Point
I am concerned about Biden’s age, but I know that if reelected, he would have particularly good people around him, in his cabinet, and in other positions.
Given that Trump is old — he’s 78 — it’s unlikely he would remain in office beyond a Jan. 2025-Jan. 2029 second term.
If elected, Trump will surround himself with far more craven and frankly smarter people. They will help him function as a Putin/Orban-style dictator who will then appoint a smarter and equally or more evil criminal to follow him, because elections will no longer happen.
Orban has been Prime Minister of Hungary since 2010. Putin has been President or Prime Minister of Russia since 1999. There have been “elections” in these countries, but the results have been known before any voting occurs.
