I was extremely impressed by Fareed Zakaria's recent GPS program broadcast that opened with a very clear and lucid description of tax cuts.
He reminds us that not only has US Presidential candidate Romney promised more tax cuts if he's elected, but that tax cuts have constituted a large portion of the economic stimulus measures that the Obama administration has used during the last three and a half years — the measures that Romney insists have not worked.
So, I wonder, what will make Romney's tax cuts different and somehow magically effective? If the tax cuts we experienced during the Obama administration, as well as the tax cuts that were implemented by former President George W. Bush, have not been effective in stimulating the economy, driving growth, job creation and prosperity for people other than those already highly prosperous, what will make Romney's tax cuts different?
