Donald Trump’s Choice for Running Mate

During an interview with the Huffington Post’s Howard Fineman published May 26, Paul Manafort, chairman of the Donald trump presidential campaign, said, “‘The vice presidential pick will also be part of the process of proving he’s ready for the White House,’ Manafort said.

‘He needs an experienced person to do the part of the job he doesn’t want to do. He seems himself more as the chairman of the board, than even the CEO, let alone the COO.’”

One can conclude from this that Trump really doesn’t want to do the job of president, which is to be the chief executive of the executive branch of government.

Trump seems to just want to be in the background, flying around on planes and flying into Washington occasionally for meetings, but being largely uninvolved in decision-making and not doing the job of president of the country. If Trump wins the general election in November, he will have a Vice President who can serve as the chief executive and do the job of President of the United States.

Few things are as terrifying to contemplate or imagine.
